Holly Holm spent part of her Thursday looking for a dress.  The world boxing champion didn’t want any kind of dress but, something classy enough for the big time.  Holm is ready for her close-up.  She has been nominated for an ESPN Espy award.  Holm is the only female in the category of best fighter.  Her competition for the nomination includes fighters known all over the world including Floyd Mayweather Jr..  Holm says she will just be honored to share the same room with so many awesome athletes when the Espys kick off July 20th in Los Angeles.  She says she feels like she doesn’t deserve the recognition.  When you look at her body of work, you have to say not only does Holm deserve it.  It’s about time she got a big shot of national attention.  Holm has mowed down all of the big names of women’s boxing.  She has humbly punched her way to the top.  The best thing about it is that Holm continues to live in the present.  She is careful to look around and enjoy every minute of what is happening now.  So many people are always racing to the next thing.  Holm says she likes to take her time and enjoy every minute of what is going on at the present moment.  It sounds like she really knows how to appreciate something.  Holm will be up against stiff competition at the Espys but then again she always is up against stiff competition.  This time she needs our help to come out on top.  You can vote for Holly at espn.com or go to krqe.com and click on “as seen on krqe.”
